Let us introduce you to the driving force behind Rooted Learning, David Fisher. David is a highly regarded Forest School trainer and leader both in the UK and abroad. David is a qualified teacher with over 10 years teaching experience. He has learnt first hand the demands, challenges and rewards of setting up Forest School in areas with little resources, money and limited access to nature. David believes that the challenges are worth the reward. He has seen the Forest School approach change countless lives for learners of all ages. He created this course to share his wisdom and wealth of practical ideas with you all.
SHERIN BODEKJI WANES
UAE, Forest School Specialist
Sherin, the visionary founder of Natura Tribe, a trailblazing nature-inspired playgroup in the UAE. As the first Forest School Practitioner in the region, Sherin has been organizing and leading nature and forest sessions for the past four years. She exudes a deep love for nature and is driven by her desire to connect individuals with their environments. Together, David and Sherin bring a wealth of expertise and passion to this course, ensuring an enriching learning experience for all. Sherin is adding her local expertise to the course and will be leading the practical sessions on ground in UAE.
Nikita Morton
Nikita, loves all things outdoors and has done since she was climbing trees as a kid. Having a deep respect for how nature can connect individuals to themselves, to others and to our natural world, Nikita has found her calling as a Forest School leader and trainer. Nikita is the founder of Chiang Mai Forest School, providing youngsters with opportunities to have fun and thrive in nature. Nikita's training not only covers all the key practical and theoretical elements of Forest School it also provides learners with a wealth of knowledge and first hand experiences of leading Forest School in Thailand. David and Nikita have been working closely together to develop high quality teaching materials that draw from their extensive experience as educators and creating truly unique Forest School training expereinces.
